Angry teacher: I’m going to call your parents!
I did not like being bored and at school I got in trouble for this. I liked to make lessons fun. I was not a bad student by any means. I just didn’t like stupid boring lessons.
Without bragging, I was one of those pupils who didn’t need to do too much work to get excellent grades. I did not need to give the teacher my undivided attention because everything they said all sunk into my head anyway.
I hated maths. I slept in maths. To make matters worse my maths teacher was a dick. He would threaten to call my parents (which at a young age is a reallyyy bad thing).
“I’m going to call your parents! :@”
I would put on my puppy-eyed victim face to pretend that I’m scared but I was smiling inside. Back then (not so long ago) there was no broadband. It was dial-up. So whenever someone was on the Internet you would know about it because you could never get through if you called that house number.
I would get home and the first thing I’d do is casually put on the Internet. If I didn’t want to use the Internet I would insist on one of my siblings or parents to use it, even if they had nothing to do.
And the next day he would always say in a regretful tone “I could not get through to your house phone”. So sad, so sad.
I always have that sly grin on my face whenever I think about it nowadays.
